Description:

  • summary: Multivariable surface layer output from the SCHISM based pre-operational unstructured grid model configuration for the German Bight after interpolation to a structured grid. The variables encompass sea surface height, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and the east and northward component of surface currents. The model produces a three days forecast for the German Bight, driven by ocean boundary forcing provided by the CMEMS AMM15 operational model, atmospheric boundary forcing provided by the DWD ICON-D2 model. Hydrological forcing is applied on climatology data for the rivers Ems, Weser, Elbe and Eider. The original unstructured grid resolutions scales from 1.5 km at the open boundary to about 200 near shore and 50m cross-sectionally in the rivers. The data is provided after interpolation to structured grid of 0.005 degree resolution
